… I do not understand my organic compatriots reluctance to work with the Hutts to further our goals. While I agree that they are, as a rule, lawless reprobates, their stratagems are most-often childish and easily thwarted. Our reputation is likely irreparably linked with an extra-legal element as it stands, so I see no problem with enhancing our credibility while at the same time lining our pockets with ill-gotten gains. The credits do greater good for the galaxy in our pockets than in those of our employers-of-the-moment. And I would far rather continue our service with them than risk further exposure to Former Senator Bel Iblis; though the probability of him recognizing me would seem to be, at this point, negligible, all the same I think it safest that I keep my distance …

Episode 6: The Smuggler's Moon

Having defeated a hated rival for power on behalf of their Hutt master, the crew of the Heart of Corellia travel to NAR SHADDAA, the Smuggler’s Moon.

There, they hope to start a new, more respectable life, working for the newest member of the Hutt council above the world the Hutts call home.

Yet, all is not easy on the city-moon, and enemies lurk in the shadows, ready to grasp for power…

Episode 6, #1

Deep in the heart of Imperial Teth, in the grand and imposing sector capital building, Commander Rena Harvix and Moff Orgege stared at each other, both furious.

“How could you lose that information?” cried Orgege, slamming his fist into the table. “It was vital to the coming operation! We can’t launch the fleet without it!”

Commander Harvix’s fury was colder and more restrained. “My dear Moff,” she began, her languid demeanor not hiding the anger in her eyes. “perhaps you should have considered the importance of your precious data before you allowed a Rebel fleet to close within shooting distance of your capital.”

The Moff’s face quivered as he sought to restrain himself from physical violence, his eyes going to the cylinder at Harvix’s waist. “You know very well that we monitor all incoming hyperspace lanes to Teth,” he stated. “What they did was impossible.” He growled to himself at the ingenuity of the Rebellion. “You might have kept a backup of the files back on Nar Shaddaa,” he sputtered, attempting to shift the topic.

“The loss of the original files was… unfortunate,” agreed Commander Harvix. “The parties responsible will be dealt with.” She stared at Moff Orgege for a few more moments, feeding off his anger, before adding, “Now. Are you prepared to plan this assault?”

Ying's Journal #7

I have never felt so angry. They think they can come and take my best friend from me. But he’s not. theirs. I found him in the scrap heap. I gave him a body. I talked with him, joked with him, cried with him. He is my. droid. That Harvix is getting to be a whole lot of trouble. I wouldn’t shed a tear if she were gone. I just can’t get how she’s always on us. How they all are. I came out here to get away from it. If there’s one place a deserter can go, it’s hutt space. But it looks like that ain’t true anymore.
If we’re not gonna be able to run, looks like we’re gonna have to turn around and put our fists up. Nobody. Fucks. With. My. Droid.

Captain's Log Entry 6

Nar Shadda, I doubt we’ll ever come across so much concentrated sleaze and nefarious undertakings anywhere else. The upside is we’re well off the Empire’s scanners this far out. Or so we thought. Turns out they have a listening post somewhere in the sector, and Thakba, the upstanding citizen that he is, wanted us to look into the matter.
In one of the bars on station we ran into our Sullustan friend with the fondness for jatz. Turns out he’s involved with the Rebellion, and he and his friends can help find that listening post. Things were going well until we almost managed to launch a raid on an Imperial shuttle without a hitch. The almost being the catch where we lost track of 3B, and are now en route to get him back from the Empire. This may not our worst thought out plan to date, and boy have we had some half-assed assumptions we later called plans.

… My self-encryption subroutine served me rather less well than I would have liked (Imperial etiquette as regards data extraction has advanced significantly since last I was plugged in to such a terminal.) And now I find I must, of necessity, contemplate selective self-erasure. I find myself oddly hesitant at the prospect. Evidently I have been too long operating on my own recognizance. Under the direction of my erstwhile Mistress, I would not have hesitated to redact broad swaths of my own memory. There are large sections of my early days on Raxus Secundus which were removed for no particular concern, perfunctorily, and certainly I was not bothered. My current Mistress takes a rather broader view of my liberty and right to retain my day-to-day knowledge, which leaves only me with the wherewithal to make the hard decisions for the sake of our security …

Padawan Syllus’ Journal Entry #0

Master Koon has praised me for my progress. I am happy he is pleased with his decision to take me on as his padawan. The separatists have been causing problems under Dooku’s command. Right now everything seems to be falling apart, more and more are joining the separatist movement. Now, when the Jedi are most needed. Now Jabba the Hutt has asked the Jedi Council to help him, to save his son from some pirates. This seems like a distraction but for reasons I am not privy to the council has agreed to help. Master Kenobi and Master Skywalker have been sent to help. Master Kenobi has returned, and it seems Master Skywalker is pinned down in Teth. Master Koon has requested that I be sent with Master Kenobi to help as I am a decently skilled pilot, which might become necessary.

Spirit of the Republic Holocron Entry #1765

A strangely calm mirialan appears as the holocron is activated. The sounds of explosions and a siren can be heard in the background

My name is Padawan Tybor Syllus, this may be the last entry into this holocron. We have taken heavy damage from some Vulture Droids on a rear docking bay. I am unable to get to the other docks, where ships are being used to evacuate. If I survive the initial crash it appears as though I will be in the ocean. If someone sees this holocron and no one has survived let the Council know that it is Dooku and the separatists behind the Hutt child’s kidnapping. Control of the Outer Rim is at stake. If we lose passage through Hutt controlled space …

At this point you hear the bending of metal and the picture goes out.

Episode 7: Ruins of War

Chasing down a captured droid, the crew of the Heart of Corellia have been shot down over the planet Teth, Imperial capital of the local sector.

Above their watery landing site, Imperial forces wait in orbit for the launch of OPERATION SCIMITAR, a wholesale conquest of Hutt Space by the Empire.

Their navigation systems damaged, their hull barely held together, and with critical information about the coming invasion, they begin frantic repair operations…

Padawan Syllus’ Journal Entry #1
Ruins of War

I was awakened, upon seeing the group before me I immediately wanted to speak to the council. It was important, the separatists were behind the kidnapping and the Hutt Cartel must be informed. They stared at me and each other, possibly confused, for a moment. They didn’t know what I was talking about. How could they? It’s been over 20 years since I crash landed. While I helped them repair their ship which had conveniently crashed nearby I spoke with their protocol droid. Which, before I get into what was said, was a strange amalgamation of parts. I’m honestly a little curious about it’s origins. Though the mechanic of the ship, Jei Ying, seems to be particularly protective and profoundly untrusting. Then again, how could she trust me. Apparently I’m the first of the Jedi Order they have ever met. Which brings me back to the discussion I had with 7-A3B, which the crew seems to have shortened to 3B. I survived the crash. I can only assume it was the work of the Force and Master Kenobi. A little over 20 years has passed and the Jedi Council has been dissolved. Apparently most of the Jedi have been killed and are now hunted by the “Empire.” That’s also a new thing. The Republic’s Senate has also been dissolved and Chancellor Palpatine has declared himself Emperor. I did not want to inundate my new traveling companions with questions, of which I have many. What were the events that led to this? Did we fail to secure the Hutts favor? Why would the Chancellor betray the Jedi? Now we are traveling to Nar Shadda. I must be careful to keep a low profile, 3B has warned me strongly that should my existence be known I may be in danger. If the Jedi are all deceased then there is work to be done, I must seek out any who are Force Sensitive and rebuild. Though sitting here in the palace of one of the Hutts is a thing I expected to be doing 20 years ago I’ve never felt more out of place.

Wait … did he say Skywalker? Anakin?
